Reign's list is great.. Skywalker is currently running SLI 9800's

If you are going to SLI then you'll probably need a more powerful power supply..
You'll probably want to look at Full desktop towers for the room and airflow. It's possible to fit an SLI into a mid case but it's risky.

As for building it, you could easily do it yourself..

I'm actually about to buy two or three of them.... but I'll be using them to run CUDA on and not have them in SLI. I also need the 4 monitor outputs, which when running in SLI mode, you only get the outputs of one card... and who wants to only use two monitors? AMIRITE?

I'm not that far from you Deadman.

If you get these parts. I can help out.

In my opinion, as long as your componants are compatible, IE processor that actually plugs into the motherboard, you just can't go wrong.

Look for:

Faster FSB,
8800 Ultra, 9800 Ultra these cards are the same as are some of the 200 series cards.
6 G or more memory and
Windows 7 or go home :D

  • This is a GTS 250 (meaning it is a rebrand of a 9800 GTX+). This is a good price for the card's performance.

That's $1053.95 for those parts (not including the $50.00 worth of mail in rebates). Those parts will get you places. All you need to add to them is a Case, Hard Drive, Optical Drive, Keyboard, Mouse, and Monitor. Unless you already have a Keyboard, Mouse or Monitor. When selecting a case, make sure it has a wide enough area to support the larger graphics cards.

I own several of the parts, or I have a friend that I've made order some of those parts and I've never had a problem with any of them. I love the power supply, and the ASUS motherboard is amazing. You can't go wrong with a CPU that highly recommended.

CyberPowerPC is a horrible company. Two of my co-workers have bought computers from them, and they ended up sending them back due to too many issues with the computers.

That's a legit system for the price. I soo want an i7!
